Screw eBay. I’m not doing it anymore.

Screw eBay to be honest. I am not going to doing the store anymore. I am cancelling my store and selling manager pro subscriptions, paying my fees and just not doing it anymore.

I went to bed at about midnight last night, after having a relaxing evening watching TV and the Big Brother double eviction. I turned my PC off at about 11pm, and relaxed in my bedroom watching my nice TV by my bed.

When I woke up this morning, I logged on, and checked my emails like I do every morning. I had around 20 emails, and started to go through them. Someone purchased a digital item from me, in which I supply a link for personally. They purchased the item at 1am in the morning, and at 11am, they not only opened a PayPal dispute, but esculated it to a claim, so I couldn’t respond and was forced to refund the money or lose the fees.

Of course Ive lost eBay fees for that item just like that, and trust me I left him a rather nice message on eBay. And when I sent the message I noticed my feedback has dropped to 98.6% instead of 100%. I check my feedback, and this guy has left feedback claiming I havent contacted him.

This is the same guy of course who purchased a SATA Power Cable from me on the 21st July 2008, and paid for it on the 9th August 2008 after I opened a dispute with eBay about it. I then sent the item a day after he paid and I have the postage proof of it.

He then refused to leave feedback, and then today 20 or so days later, he leaves me negative feedback, and guess what, there is fuck all I can do about it.

So quite frankly. Screw eBay. Im selling the Loot Cards I got, and I’m done. eBay is full of kids, when you are supposed to be 18 to register anyways. Even Im 17 and on there, but atleast I use it properly, gained 70 Positive feedback, and suffer with the disgraceful fees from eBay, and PayPal.

So if you are reading this eBay. You lost a member. Your useless, your site is rubbish, and it’s no longer a bargain buy place. Its full of Chinese 1p items, fake phones, boxes instead of the Xbox, and a bunchof Buy it Now prices that are just plain disgraceful.

Screw you.

I agree, ebay itself is just one big scam. I have had a shop on ebay for a couple of years and I have seen it go down hill especially since the beginning of this year.

You as a seller can not leave negative feedback (to warn other sellers) when a customer screws you around.

PayPal is no better, I had sent a computer case to a customer who then opened a dispute once he had the item. I had proof of delivery and when I followed the instructions for disputed payments with papal they just closed the case in favor on the customer. It took me 3 months get get the dispute reopened and my money back under the seller protection plan. Any profit I might of made in selling was wipe out it it cost me more in time and phone calls to get it sorted out.

Ebay has seen its day and is dying out, just have to have a look at how major sellers on ebay are slowly pulling out. Too many policy changes going against the sellers.

Screw ebay, it is no longer worth the effort.

Hey, thanks for your comment. It seems eBay saw this post. They banned the user who gave me negative feedback, and put me back to 100% Feedback. I have also achieved the top 1633 reviewer rank, and could easily succeed past 1000 if I really wanted to.

But like you say, it is not worth the effort. There are going to be more problems in the future. I will only be selling items there that really need to be sold, such as things I really don’t need anymore that could be worth a bit.

Thanks for your comment. My most informative comment yet. :)
